More than a third of medical professionals are unaware of a condition which could be impacting as many as one million people in the UK. A poll of 1,100 health experts – including GPs, doctors, and optometrists – found 37 percent are not aware of Charles Bonnet syndrome , which can cause vivid, and sometimes frightening, visual hallucinations for those who have lost 60 percent or more of their sight.
