DEMENTIA campaigner Nicolas Kee Mew from Essex is one of only 25 individuals to be recognised with the prestigious British Citizen Award after his extraordinary fundraising efforts and work within the health and social care industry. The now care home manager, who started as a cleaner has gone on to raise £5,000 for charities like Alzheimer’s Research UK, and this July is being honoured with The British Citizen Award for Services to Volunteering & Charitable Giving at the Palace of Westminster.
