DAHLIAS are, in my opinion, an essential addition to any summer garden, but spring is the perfect time to make more plants for free. Dahlias have come in and out of fashion over the years, but there are open cupped flower varieties, dinner plate sized flowers, cactus, anemone, pompom, ball, collarette and water-lily flowers to choose from in myriad colours.
