THE DEATH of Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols has been met with thousands of tributes from not only fans but celebrities from across the globe, including fellow Star Trek actor George Takei and actress Lynda Carter. The star’s death was confirmed by Nichols’ son, Kyle Johnson, who released a statement saying the 89-year-old had “succumbed to natural causes”, after suffering from a stroke seven years previously.
