Plant expert’s ‘number one tip’ for keeping cut sunflowers ‘fresh’ or risk them ‘rotting’

Sunflowers are sown from April to May and flower in late August to early September. They usually bloom for eight to 12 weeks but cut sunflowers last between six to 12 days.
