Vuhledar is a small coal-mining town 90 miles southwest of Bakhmut in the eastern Donetsk region of Ukraine. Russian forces are relentlessly attacking the town to gain access to the major rail link located nearby, which connects them to southern Ukraine and the Crimean peninsula.
