With 100 days until the World Cup, Sky News can reveal England players have raised concerns with their union about being forced to call out political issues in the United States.
There are concerns raised by rights groups about Donald Trump’s travel bans, immigration crackdowns, the militarisation of policing, discrimination and military action launched against Iran and Venezuela.
Professional Footballers’ Association CEO Maheta Molango said any silence shouldn’t be treated as complicity. FIFA President Gianni Infantino says he wants the tournament to be a "moment of peace".
