17 killed by Russian strike on Ukraine prison

At least 17 people have been killed and 42 others were injured in a Russian airstrike on a prison in Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia region.

The regional governor said Russian forces hit the area with eight guided bombs, destroying prison buildings and nearby homes in the village of Bilenke.

Another three people, including a 23-year-old pregnant woman, were killed in a missile strike which damaged a hospital in the central city of Kamianske.
