
At least 19 people are now known to have died in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa – while emergency teams still battle to reach the worst hit areas to distribute aid.
Jamaican officials said entire communities had been flattened or submerged by floodwaters – with electricity supplies cut off for most of the island.
The UK has joined international efforts to send in humanitarian supplies – along with evacuation flights to help British nationals to leave.
