Well, the response from New Yorkers appears to be a 33-year-old Muslim socialist offering rent control, free travel and cheaper groceries.
In a stunning political upset, Zohran Mamdani is on course to be the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York. His supporters believe it’s a template for the party as it tries to tackle President Trump.
