A woman was killed, and nearly 1,700 tourists evacuated after hotel fire in the Dominican Republic

The Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham, in Bayahibe, a popular tourist destination on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, caught fire on Friday, with the blaze rapidly spreading through the resort. Francesca Valentino, a 46-year-old Italian woman, was killed in the fire, Dominican emergency services said. #fire #dominicanrepublic #news #tourist
