The government is offering concessions to Labour MPs over its controversial welfare bill that will face a parliamentary vote tomorrow.
It says it needs to reduce the benefits bill but also wants to encourage disabled people into work. One of the ways people are currently supported in the workplace is by an Access to Work grant, the costs of which have been spiralling.
As a public consultation on reforming it closes today, disability campaigner and journalist Shani Dhanda has been meeting those already facing cuts to their support packages. and hearing the impacts on their ability to carry on working.
