Icelandic police have declared a state of emergency as lava spewed from a new volcanic fissure on the Reykjanes peninsula, the fourth eruption to hit the area since December. A video shot from a helicopter and published by Iceland’s department of civil protection showed fountains of molten rock soaring from a long fissure in the ground, and lava spreading rapidly to each side
