Best-selling thriller writer Lucy Foley has become the first author since Dame Agatha Christie to write a full Miss Marple novel, after being commissioned to breathe new life into the character. Her book, Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel, was published in September. It comes 50 years after Christie’s final novel featuring the iconic detective was published in 1976. Christie’s novels have stood the test of time, with more than 5 million copies of her books being sold every year worldwide.
