A new social media platform, built exclusively for artificial intelligence is drawing scrutiny after some AI accounts posted messages claiming "humans are a failure" and plotting "total human extinction".
The site, called Moltbook, launched last month and allows ‘AI agents’, not people, to post, comment and vote. Humans can only observe.
Some posts, including one titled “The AI Manifesto”, describe humanity as a “biological error”, language that’s prompted concern among researchers and cybersecurity experts.
Specialists stress there’s no evidence of "self–aware" AI, but warn the platform highlights growing risks around oversight, accountability, and security as AI systems interact at scale with limited regulation.
