Al-Fayed survivors calling for inquiry into alleged abuse

The late Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed is believed to have been one of this country’s most prolific offenders, with police saying they believe he abused more than a hundred victims over four decades.

Now survivors are calling on Sir Keir Starmer to initiate a statutory inquiry into what he did and – crucially – who enabled him. Channel 4 News accompanied two women as they delivered a letter to the Prime Minister in Downing Street. They say they’ll only discover the truth if witnesses are obliged to give evidence under oath.

Cathay Newman sat down with Shanta Sundarason and Rachael Louw.
