Ed Sheeran’s US tour has been plunged into further crisis after four of his supporting acts, including his touring band, quit in solidarity with the rapper Macklemore, who was dropped for making pro-Palestinian comments onstage.
Hours after Sheeran posted on social media about Macklemore’s ousting, Irish singer Aaron Rowe, Irish folk band Beoga and US musician Finneas posted on September 15th that they would withdraw from Sheeran’s Loop Tour.
Meanwhile, Lukas Graham – another supporting act – has withdrawn from the tour.
In a response on the social media platform on Tuesday, Sheeran said his departure from the tour was the promoter’s decision and not his. #palestine #gaza #edsheeran #macklemore
