The woman accused of murdering her estranged husband’s family with toxic mushrooms has described her love of fungi, as she told an Australian court exotic mushrooms "taste more interesting" and have "more flavour."
Erin Patterson also spoke about her health anxieties and admitted she had never had cancer, despite the prosecution alleging she invited her family over to the fatal lunch to discuss a cancer diagnosis.
Her estranged husband’s parents, Don and Gail Patterson, both died as well as Gail Patterson’s sister, Heather Wilkinson. Heather’s husband, Ian Wilkinson, became ill but survived.
