The Trump administration says Iran’s nuclear programme has been devastated in a series of overnight strikes by the US air force.
The president ordered B2 stealth bombers to attack three of Iran’s nuclear facilities. They used 14 bunker-busting bombs to get through the hundreds of feet of concrete and steel which protect much of the enrichment process.
While the US military is still making its battle damage assessment, Mr Trump has claimed the key sites were obliterated.
Meanwhile, the regime in Tehran has promised ‘everlasting consequences’.
