Residents living near a McDonald’s in the US state of Georgia united to subdue a huge alligator after it moved into the restaurant’s car park.

They taped its mouth shut and tied it up with heavy string after emergency services were unable to send enough skilled staff to deal with the huge reptile.
It was eventually removed from the scene in the city of Macon by a licenced wildlife expert.
