The formal transfer of power from Keir Starmer to Andy Burnham is officially complete.
The incoming prime minister says this is going to be the biggest political change the UK has seen in 40 years, but for a man who wants to tear things up, he still had to go through the constitutional traditions of being invited to form a government by the King.

On Monday morning, Starmer gave his final address at the now-very-familiar lectern outside Number 10. He said he wished the man who ousted him “every success”.
