Andy Burnham has pledged to "help people to live well" in his first speech as prime minister, saying he will outline new cost-of-living measures on his second day in office.
He said he would announce measures on Tuesday to help with the rising cost of living and would set out a ten-year plan later this year.
Burnham visited Buckingham Palace earlier on Monday, where he met King Charles and accepted his offer to form a new administration, following the official resignation of Sir Keir Starmer. #keirstarmer #andyburnham #primeminister
