Andy Burnham says he isn’t trying to become Prime Minister at Labour Conference | ITV News

After the Chancellor took that swipe at Andy Burnham, the mayor of Greater Manchester rejected suggestions he was "hopeless" on the economy.

Speaking at a Conference event, he once again insisted he wasn’t after the Prime Minister’s job.

He said he was only ‘starting a debate’ about the future of the Labour Party.
