The Housing Secretary, Angela Rayner, is giving a speech at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool.
Her speech comes after a slew of new housing policies were announced last week aimed at helping young people get on the property ladder and giving councils more powers to seize and use empty homes.
She has also backed the prime minister’s plans for an NHS-style social care service amid speculation it could be partly funded by scrapping the pensions triple-lock.
