Anti-black discrimination 'baked' into Met Police, report finds

An independent investigation into the Met Police has found its culture makes racial harm inevitable – with anti-black racism ‘baked’ into the force.

Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley accepts systemic, structural and cultural change is now needed.

Part of the conclusion includes: "black people are more likely to be read as suspicious and non-compliant and use of force is more readily authorised on darker complexions," Sky’s Sadiya Chowdhury has more.
