Five people have been killed and five others were hurt after a fire engulged a block of flats in north eastern Spain.

Officials in Catalonia said the blaze apparently started in a storage room – but they don’t know why the victims were unable to escape. According to the police, all of those who died were young people who didn’t live in the building. They’re still trying to establish what caused the fire.
