Apple and Meta have been fined €700 million by the EU for breaking competition laws

The European Union has fined US-based tech giant Apple 500 million Euros for preventing users from accessing cheaper products outside its App Store.

The EU competition watchdog also fined Meta 200 million Euros for the way its users on Facebook and Instagram were required to pay for ad-free services.
