The United Nations says that withdrawing peacekeeping troops from Mali will be dangerous because of poor security conditions. The junta which runs Mali has ordered the peacekeepers to leave by the end of the year. It’s feared hundreds of local staff who support the UN mission will be in danger. Already, militants claim to have killed one man who worked for the German army in Mali.
