An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 20s was stabbed Tuesday evening in Leicester City Centre, near De Montfort University.

Police were called just after 5pm after reports of an altercation in the street, and the man was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.
Detectives thanked members of the public who rushed to help the victim before emergency services arrived and they’ve appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
