Asda workers stand for pay equity

Asda workers are demonstrating to show support for an equal pay claim for female staff.

The GMB union is arguing that the predominantly female retail staff are paid up to £3.74 an hour less than the mainly male warehouse workforce.

Asda says it strongly rejects any claim that its pay rates are influenced by gender.
