Sue Elsegood is against the Assisted Dying Bill, because she fears that it will be a backwards step for disabilities groups.
She has a neurodegenerative condition – she can no longer breath or cough on her own and has to wear a ventilator mask at all times, and requires 24/7 assistance.
At the same time she has a very full life, and is a trained counsellor. Sue is concerned that bill is a "slippery slope" to safeguards being removed in future.
