
A powerful earthquake in northern Afghanistan has killed at least 20 people and injured about 320, the Taliban health ministry said on Monday.

The 6.3-magnitude quake also caused widespread damage to buildings across Balkh and Samangan provinces. The US Geological Survey said the quake’s epicentre was 14 miles (22km) west-southwest of Khulm, where people were seen combing through rubble
