Queensland’s far north has been flooded by heavy rainfall from ex-tropical cyclone Jasper. More than 2 metres of rainfall fell in less than a week, breaking records for December. Residents were left without access to power, food and drinking water and many homes were inundated with water. Locals were also urged to be wary of crocodiles swimming through local streets
