A 43-year-old man was arrested and police said a knife was found inside his vehicle.
Counter terror officers are involved in the investigation, although no motive is currently known.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese claimed it had not been an accident, and said it appeared to have been a ‘deliberate act’.
