Today, the prosecution opened its case against Erin Patterson, who’s accused of murdering her estranged husband’s parents and aunt, by serving them beef wellington made with poisoned mushrooms.
The first witness to give evidence was her former husband, Simon, who said he’d felt "too uncomfortable" to attend the fatal lunch.
