Baby panda death blamed on fireworks

A three-month-old red panda died due to stress caused by bonfire day fireworks displays, say staff at the Edinburgh Zoo.

Roxie’s mother also died days earlier, and the zoo believes fireworks contributed to her death as well.

The zoo is now calling for restrictions on fireworks displays to limit stress to animals.
