Bangkok city hall declares Thailand's capital a disaster area after Myanmar quake

A state of emergency has been declared in Myanmar following a large 7.7 magnitude earthquake.

Tremors were felt as far as 800 miles away in neighbouring Thailand. There, the capital Bangkok has also been declared a disaster area.
