Switzerland is hosting this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after artist Nemo won the 2024 competition in Sweden with their song The Code.
Today one of two semi-finals will take place in Basel with the aim of witling down 37 contestants to 26.
Ukraine is one of the 15 countries competing tonight, with their song Bird of Prey. It brings a message of freedom in a time when the country is still under attack from Russia.
The Israeli contestant Yuval Raphael has faced backlash and has complained to the police after allegedly experiencing threatening behavior from a member of the public.
There has also been speculation about a possible appearance from Canadian singer, Celine Dion, who won Eurovision in 1988 with her song Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi, but are the rumours true? ITV News Arts Editor Nina Nannar has the latest from Basel.
