“I decided I was going to vote by mail-in ballot because I couldn’t be there, I had a lot of different things,” Trump responded.

In recent months, the president has renewed his baseless claims that mail-in voting is subject to widespread fraud. Meanwhile, he has been pressuring Senate Republicans to pass a restrictive voting bill that would require proof of US citizenship for new voters, as well as other measures.
