The Bayeux Tapestry has returned to the United Kingdom for the first time in almost 1,000 years.
The 70-metre-long tapestry depicts the Norman Conquest and has been loaned to the British Museum from France.
Around 7.5 million people are expected to see the tapestry when it goes on show in September. For now, ITV News was granted access to the delicate preparations for showing such an iconic piece of history.
