Belarus President to extend his 30-year rule after ‘sham’ election

In power since 1994, Alexander Lukashenko claimed yet another election win, unsurprisingly. Belarus’ latest presidential election has been called a “sham” by the European Union. After the country’s last vote in 2020 hundreds of thousands took to the streets in protest and the country responded with the harshest crackdown in its post-Soviet history. #CNN #News
