Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has set out his plans to take full military control of Gaza.
Speaking ahead of a key meeting with his security cabinet, he said Israel doesn’t want to keep the territory, or govern it but it wants a security perimeter.
Hamas claims Netanyahu wants to sacrifice the lives of hostages still held in Gaza while the United Nations has warned an all-out military occupation of the territory would have "catastrophic consequences".
