Bernie Sanders tells Democrats ‘we will win this struggle’ and urges end to war in Gaza

Appearing at the Democratic national convention in Chicago, US senator Bernie Sanders spoke on the cost of living pressures faced by Americans, saying the top 1% ‘have never had it so good’ while ‘oligarchs tell us we shouldn’t tax the rich’. ‘Well, I’ve got some bad news for them: that is precisely what we are going to do,’ Sanders said. Sanders also called for ‘big money’ to be removed from the US political process, universal healthcare and a lift in the minimum wage, before saying ‘we must end this horrific war in Gaza’
