Sky News has been given rare footage from inside the capital of North Darfur showing a city being slowly starved.
Filming is banned inside Al Fashir.
But the footage obtained by Sky shows a population struggling to survive.
The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has held the city hostage for 14 months, blocking all food or fuel from entering.
Sudan’s army and the Darfur Joint Protection Force are trying to stop the RSF from capturing the last state capital in the Darfur region not under their control.
