Biden says all-out war in the Middle East ‘has to be avoided’

The US president said a broader war in the Middle East has to be avoided, as he boarded Air Force One on Sunday to Washington from Delaware. Biden made the remarks as Israel stepped up strikes on Beirut, Gaza and Yemen. Biden told reporters the US was working with France to arrest the intensification of conflict, but added that ‘we’re not there yet’
