‘Biggest Budapest Pride’ defies government ban

Tens of thousands marched for LGBTQ rights in Budapest on Saturday, despite a government ban on the event.

Hungary’s Prime Minister Orbán recently made it an offense to hold any events that ‘depict or promote’ homosexuality to minors aged under 18. Amnesty Hungary says the event was ‘easily the biggest’ Pride march in the country’s history.
