Sky News takes a look at the state of maternity care in Britain’s health system as, hundreds of women have written to Sky describing their traumatic births. 102 stories were analysed and 93 mentioned feeling ignored.

Mother of stillborn twins, Louise Prashad woke up to the news that her babies had died, and she had been given a life-saving liver transplant.

She said: "I was so angry that I hadn’t been listened to, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I was dying and every time I went into the hospital, my feelings were just spoken away – I felt like I was shouting into a black void".
