
Inflation fell more than expected last month, driven by lower food prices.
Official figures show it fell from 3.6% in the year to October, to 3.2% in November. It paves the way for the fourth interest rate cut of the year tomorrow. Lower prices for alcohol and tobacco, and Black Friday discounting on clothes and shoes also helped bring prices down.
