Bolsonaro charged with plotting coup

Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has been charged with plotting a military coup against the current president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

According to Brazil’s chief prosecutor, the alleged plot included a plan to poison the President after Bolsonaro’s 2022 election loss to his left-wing rival.

The right-wing politician has denied the accusations.
