
The man accused of the Bondi Beach attack has been in court for the first time, two months after Australia’s worst mass shooting in decades.

24-year-old Naveed Akram made a brief appearance via video link from prison.
He’s accused of 59 charges relating to the deadly attack at a Hanukkah event in December, which killed 15 people and injured more than 40 others.
His father Sajid Akram who allegedly took part in the attack was shot dead by police at the scene.
